Board of Directors

The affairs of ALOC are managed by the Board of Directors. The ALOC Board consists of 19 directors including two directors who represent ALOC’s articling student members. The directors are elected for a one year term by members of ALOC through annual elections but, can seek re-election at the next annual general meeting of the members. Members of the Board are responsible for electing the Executive Committee including one full-time President, one or more Vice-Presidents, a Treasurer and a Secretary.

Members of the Board meet regularly to decide on issues relevant to the Association. They also contribute to the work of ALOC through their involvement in ALOC’s committees. The President is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association and is the only Board member working full-time at the Association.
